In Memoriam: Doutzen fan Pleasant Hill

Doutzen was our 2001 1st premie ster daughter of our mare Jinke fan Oud Stedma and was a Pyt 325 x Leffert 306, stam 8. She became 1st premie ster and Champion mare at the KFPS/FHANA inspection in 2004. Doutzen is a half sister to our 1st premie-2004 champion colt and now ster stallion Ouke (S. Wicher 334) also out of Jinke. She was named after Maaike's sister Doutzen. We drove her single and pair, including at several weddings, and she was ridden under saddle as well. Doutzen can be seen here at her first pair-driving event on April 11, 2005 and driving our daughter at her wedding on September 10, 2005. She gave birth to her first foal on March 15, 2007: a healthy and glorious looking Rintse 386 stud colt we named Wietse fan Pleasant Hill. Doutzen was the product of many years of dedication. With Wietse she showed how much potential she had to continue her successful line and how much promise we lost when she left us. We miss you, Doutzen.
